What is a Unix timestamp?
The number of seconds since 1 January 1970 at 00:00 UTC, excluding leap seconds. A 10-digit value is a date in this century; 13 digits means milliseconds.
Why does adding one month to 31 January give 28 February?
Because the target month is shorter. Most libraries clamp to the last valid day instead of overflowing into March.
Do the calculators apply daylight saving time?
Only where a time zone is involved, and they say so. Durations in hours between two local times can be 23 or 25 hours long on a changeover day.
