The physics tools work in SI units without conversion tricks: metres, kilograms, seconds, newtons, joules and watts. Enter a speed in m/s and kinetic energy comes out in joules; enter a mass and the weight comes out in newtons at 9.81 m/s².
Pages are grouped by the question asked rather than by the school chapter. Motion covers speed, acceleration and free fall; forces and energy cover work, power and potential energy; electricity covers voltage, current, resistance and power; density, pressure and waves sit in the general section.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the calculator use 9.81 m/s² for gravity?
It is standard gravity at sea level and 45° latitude. Textbooks sometimes use 9.8 or 10 for simplicity, which moves a 10 m fall result by about 0.1 %. Keep the same value throughout one calculation.
Do the formulas account for air resistance and friction?
No. They are the idealised versions taught first, so a real fall is slower and a real braking distance longer. Treat the results as a best case, which is usually what planning needs.
Why is electrical power offered in several forms?
Because the useful form depends on what you know. P = VI when voltage and current are given, P = I²R when current and resistance are, and P = V²/R when only the supply voltage and resistance matter. All three describe the same quantity.
